Inside Perplexity Spaces: A Digital Table for Shared Wisdom
Part 2 in the series: Choosing Your AI Companion: ChatGPT, Perplexity & the Power of Collaborative Tools
Okay—so you tried Perplexity?
You asked your question.
You felt the difference.
You saw the clarity come back.
Now let me show you what happens when you stop treating AI like a search bar—and start treating it like a place. A home. A hub.
Because the real magic inside Perplexity?
It’s something called Spaces.
And for women like us—who don’t just think, but build and remember and create with others—it’s everything.
What Is a Space (And Why You Might Already Need One)?
A Space is a private room inside Perplexity where you can:
Gather Threads (past conversations you've had with the AI)
Upload files (like PDFs, recipes, spreadsheets, or journal notes)
Group your research by topic—think “Legacy Recipes,” “Faith + Tech,” “Mom’s Health History”
Invite others to collaborate—your daughter, your prayer partner, your team
Choose the AI model and tone you want it to respond with (GPT-4o, Claude, Gemini)
It’s not just a workspace.
It’s a digital table—a place for shared wisdom to be gathered, layered, and honored.
Let’s Make It Real
Let’s say you’re working on:
A family health timeline that includes your mom’s diagnosis, your journal entries, and your daughter’s questions
A blog series on faith and burnout that draws from scripture, your prayer journal, and reader DMs
A spiritual workbook for your small group—and you want to upload outlines, quotes, and discussion prompts
You could drop all that into a Google folder and hope it feels cohesive…
or you could create a Perplexity Space where it all lives together—with an AI that understands the assignment and helps you pull it into something whole.
So What Makes Spaces So Special?
It’s the intentionality for me.
The way it holds your past questions, current ideas, and future possibilities in one place—without you needing to copy, paste, or explain yourself again.
Why This Matters for Our Kind of Work
We’re not just creating businesses.
We’re creating legacies.
And legacy work is communal.
It involves stories, ancestors, ideas, and the people we’re doing life with right now.
So when I say “create a Space,” I don’t mean just for you.
I mean:
A Space for you and your sister to co-document your mom’s medical history
A Space for your creative partner to help shape that devotional
A Space where your past questions become breadcrumbs for the book you're writing
Let’s Build a Space Together
Go to perplexity.ai.
Click on “Spaces.”
Create one called “My Wisdom Hub.”
Upload one file. Bookmark one conversation. Invite one collaborator.
Let it be messy.
Let it grow over time.
You’re not building a workspace.
You’re building a home for your voice and your values.
And One More Thing…
If you know someone who’s always saying:
“I need to get all my thoughts in one place.”
“I want to write a book someday.”
“I wish I could organize my family’s health stories…”
Because Perplexity Spaces aren’t just smart.
They’re sacred when you use them with intention.
Let’s Stay Connected
When you create your first Space, I’d love to know what you named it—or what you’re dreaming of building inside.
